Worst on line shopping and customer service experience ever. Ordered with next day delivery, item never arrived, couldn't contact carrier (Hermes), Debenhams couldn't be called and didn't respond to multiple emails even when court action was threatened. After nearly a month I tried to post an accurate but damming review on their site. Within 2 working hours my money was refunded and the review was never shown. So reviews on their site are censored. Not even a token voucher was offered for all the time wasted and inconvenience caused. Complained about this again and got no response for 2 weeks when I got generic email asking what the problem was.

Bought a child's dress Monday 30 November was emailed to say it will be here by the 4th December. Not arrived called customer service to find they have taken my money but cancelled my order and not informed me. I have today 6th Dec 2020 demanded a refund and said considering the state of your company you would think that you'd please your customers or is this a theft Act? Would not buy from them!

I was offered unlimited deliveries-free deliveries for some amount of money to pay for the whole year. All types of deliveries are free for me. However - It has been ages for my goods to arrive. I will be contacting trading standards and ombudsman as they are misleading customers.
Appalling customer service!! I would have given 0 stars if I could. My order was send to the wrong address (billing address instead of shipping address). I understand that mistakes happen, but if company deals with issues appropriately, it is not a problem. In this case its been beyond any belief. There is no customer service as such, no contact number, no live chat support, no complaints department that i can find. There is an option online to send an email. I sent one but no reply at all. The only way I managed to get any response is via Twitter! This is ridiculous. Every message takes a day to get a reply, every message is dealt with by different people (means you have to constantly repeat the same thing over and over again). Now it's been 5 days I don't have my order, it cannot be redirected anywhere and now I was told that they will try to stop the delivery and refund the order when they receive it back from courier BUT this is not guaranteed! This is not to mention all the contradictory messages on the way and me being pushed from pillar to post between the courier (Evri) and Debenhams. Extremely disappointed.
Never order with Debenhams - a waste of money and time. 20 days after placing an order for 4 items, I received a refund for 1 items with no explanation of what happened and no delivery for the other 3 items. After many messages to Debenhams, that response was that it looks like they were lost in transit (by Evri - another courier company to avoid), I was asked to wait for another week and that Debenhams will issue a refund. After waiting for another week and still no delivery, Debenhams is not responding to any messages and emails, just no response whatever. I have to go through my credit company to get back my money for the goods never delivered. So much time and energy wasted. Not will I ever shop with them again and will recommend everyone to avoid them at all costs. Seeing similar reviews posted here, it’s clear that not a one-off problem but a systemic problem with Debenhams. They do not deliver the ordered parcels and do not issue refunds or replacements for the undelivered products. Avoid at all costs.
Very poor experience.
Ordered on Tuesday 22 November 2022.
Debenhams confirmed order was on its way at 07:15am on Thursday 24 November.
Delivery within 5 working days, so by 30 November.
Evri tracking number provided.
Order last tracked as being at Evri delivery depot on 26 November.
So here I am on 3 December and no sign of the order being delivered.
I contacted Debenhams on 2 December by social media (because they don’t have a phone number according to their customer services webpage).
Apparently they cannot do anything other than keep checking the tracker until 10 December when they might deem it to be lost..!!
So that’s 18 days after my order..!! What on earth happened to the delivery within 5 working days commitment when you hand over your money for your shopping…??
I replied saying it was for a birthday present before the 10 December. Debenhams having replied to this.
This is absolutely unacceptable.
I was offered a free next day delivery code for when I next shop at Debenhams. Useless to me - I won’t be shopping with Debenhams again with terrible service like this.

Amazing Customer Service From Shah, Super Quick & Friendly.

I bought several things on the website and they all arrived at differt moments. Unfortunately, several parcels were never delivered.I contected the email provided to get a refund but after a month I still haven't heard from them.There is no telephone nuumber to call and there is nothing I can do to get my money back!I am really upset for the poor service provided. Won't buy anymore on their website and no one should really if they don't want be robbed!

I'm absolutely livid - placed an order with Debenhams for 6 items. One they then advised they no longer had in stock - so I waited a week for the refund. The other 5 items have each arrived separately - with the same £2.99 postage charge on each. Nowhere does it say you'll be charged separately for each item when you order. It's a scam.

Do not touch with a bargepole!They took an order and l paid postage said 10 days to deliver, 16 days now sent anemail bounced back to me.Impossible to get in touch.Had email from Royal mail saying l needed topay postage on debenhams parcel or they would return the parcel.I had already paid postage so decided to let them have said parcelback.Awiting refund dont hold out any hope.Avoid at all costs!!

After reading the latest reviews on here many people are facing similar problems. Either not receiving goods or not being issued a refund from Debenhams, which has now been taken over by Boohoo!. Please follow my lead and report them to Trading Standards, as what they are doing is illegal!

Very unhappy with the service I have received, purchased an item 1st March 2021 plus delivery charge only to receive an email today 9th March to say item cancelled, how can this happen??

Debenhams customer service is a disgrace to the retail trade.No response to missing orders.2 items have arrived but no information on the rest. How are they being allowed to take peoples money but not deliver the goods surely that amount to theft. They should be banned from taking online orders
